Review: Ninja Assassin

Ninja Assassin is an entertaining action movie for an older audience. With plenty of blood and gore, body parts flying off, its not for the weak hearted. The movie is a tale of a renegade ninja, with the story of his training taking place against a modern backdrop of his quest for vengeance against those who taught him. Although the historic backdrop and training storyline is quite captivating and well written and acted, the modern day backdrop is good only for the amazing action scenes. The story is a little weak when it comes to the modern fight against the ninja’s, but this doesn’t take away from the enjoyment of the movie overall. The action is amazingly choreographed, and is in a way quite beautiful to see. I would recommend this movie when you just want to sit back, watch some fights and switch off your brain.
